Brief History
Locey & Cahill, LLC was established in 1995 to provide truly independent employee benefit consulting services to our clientele. Since the firm’s formation, we have established a client base that includes some of the most prestigious municipal and private sector groups in New York State.
Since our inception, we have taken great care to establish, train and develop our support staff so that Locey & Cahill, LLC can continue to maintain its steady growth while still providing unsurpassed levels of client interaction and support. This development has allowed us to build actuarial, financial and audit divisions within our organization. The success of this carefully planned growth strategy has allowed us to incorporate many large municipal groups into annual consulting contracts.
An Independent Consulting Firm
The one descriptive factor that clearly separates Locey & Cahill, LLC from the rest of our competitors is customer service. At Locey & Cahill, LLC, our clients are not only our main focus, they are our only focus. Our firm’s revenue is mainly generated directly from the consulting contracts we have with our clients. We receive no commission income, brokerage fees, or any other vendor based income for our services apart from the pharmacy program commissions paid by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield which we use to off-set our consulting fees for the six (6) municipal cooperative health benefit plans we have as mutual clients with Excellus. As a firm, we are committed to ensuring our client interaction will not be subject to any agreements, alliances, or affiliations that would affect or influence our independent status or the advice and guidance we provide to clients. The level of interaction and the quality of the service that we provide our clients is what separates us from our competition.
Our clients are able to rely on a Client Project Team who will work with them specifically. All teams are led by both of the principals in Locey & Cahill, LLC. Stephen Locey and Martin Cahill direct the teams and serve as the primary contact persons.
