Locey & Cahill, LLC has
received notice of the Medicare Deductible, Coinsurance,
& Premium Amounts for 1999. These changes as outlined below
will go into effect January 1, 1999.
Supplementary Medical Insurance (SMI) Part B Deductible -
$100 per year
Part B Monthly Premium - $45.50 in 1999 ($43.80
in 1997 and 1998) This represents a 3.88% increase from
the previous year.
Inpatient Hospital Insurance (Part - A):
Deductible - $768 (Per Benefit Period)
Coinsurance - $192 a day for the 61st-90th day
each benefit period.
$384 a day for the 91st-150th day for each lifetime
Total of 60 lifetime reserve days - non-renewable
Skilled Nursing Facility Coinsurance
- $96.00 a day for the 21st-100th day each benefit period.
Hospital Insurance (Part A) Premium:
$309 per month (NOTE: This premium is paid
only by individuals who are not otherwise eligible for premium-free
hospital insurance.)
$339.90 must be paid by those who must pay a premium surcharge
for late enrollment.
Part A premium of $170 for those individuals
having 30 or more Quarters of coverage. These individuals must
pay a premium plus a surcharge total of $187 for late enrollment.
